5月27日，雷诺-日产-三菱联盟发布多项战略举措，推出了“领导者-追随者”模式。该模式主要是将全球不同区域市场命名为“标杆区域”，联盟成员将发展的重点放在各自的核心市场上，目标是成为该地区最具竞争力的车企。具体来看，日产将聚焦中国、北美和日本市场，雷诺关注欧洲、俄罗斯、南美和北非，三菱汽车则开拓东南亚和大洋洲的市场。
